## What FocusTube does

1. You set your goals (what you want YouTube to help you with) and pitfalls (your common distractions)
2. FocusTube classifies every video you watch against your goals using AI (GPT-4o-mini with Claude Sonnet fallback)
3. Distracting content triggers escalating nudges: 10-second pause, 30-second pause, then a 5-minute hard block
4. Productive content gets encouragement with softer nudges to take breaks and apply what you learned
5. Your dashboard tracks your focus score, watch time by category, peak distraction hours, and most-watched channels
6. Additional tools: block specific channels, hide recommendations, limit searches to 15/day, set focus windows, set daily time limits, block or track Shorts
